Cochise Stronghold East

Drove an hour-and-a half today to Pearce, Arizona, to hike the wondrous Cochise Stronghold (East) Trail. It's approached from the East, and hence the name, but we went over the Divide and down the west side just the same to add three more miles to the six. Just under 3 hours, 9 miles of great and changing views, and only about 2,000 feet of elevation gain. Weather in the seventies. Fantastic hike.
Reflection from an old water catchment.

The topography really opens up on the west side of the divide.

The bactrian curve (or Grand Tetons, if you want to be sexist).
