San Pedro Riparian Area

We recently took a leisurely stroll along the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area. An old 19th century ranch house (hiding behind an enormous old cottonwood tree) serves as the headquarters. The landscape this time of year mostly fades to silver and beige.

A Border Patrol drone keeping a snooping eye on all who pass below. You can faintly see the guy wires that keep it in place from the ground.

San Pedro House, a former ranch house.

Patty.

Once majestic cottonwood.
